I signed up to slimming world on 28th after a drs referral, this meant I was allowed to have 12 weeks free from the NHS.
I haven't always been over weight, in fact when I met my husband almost 8 years ago I was a tiny size 8! Shortly after I rapidly gained weight, which was a result of having poly cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Annoyingly this will make it harder then the average female to lose weight..
Ok so I went to my first class and listened to the meeting of which I'm still trying to understand myself.
They map out foods for you that are called free or superfree food and give you a daily allowance of 15 syns.
Your plate should consist of 2/3 free food and 1/3 superfree food. If you follow this completely you will lose weight with out having to starve... Well so they say.
They weigh you to see what your starting weight is then ask you what your goal is.
Well I'm ashamed to admit that my starting point is 15 stone 10 lbs.. I am aiming to be 10 stone! Which is the entry level for my ideal bmi for my height.
I CAN AND WILL DO THIS...
